Can YouTube be a new medium?

Videos are visual images of stationary or moving objects.

Moving images you can see and hear while watching a video.

That is pretty much what YouTube is.

A video sharing website that lets you upload, share and view videos in a click.

Founded by three former employees of PayPal Chad Hurley, Steve Chen and Jawed Karim, who raised $3.5 million to start up the video website in November 2005, barely a year later, Google bought over YouTube for $1.65 billion.

In less than 5 years, YouTube has made a name for itself along aside its social networks friends, Facebook and Twitter.

What YouTube is all about is really simple.

You can upload any videos you have on YouTube and other people are able to view it.
There is a variety of videos out there.

From entertainment, political, music and so much more.

So why use YouTube? Can YouTube be the next medium for people to gather information? It’s another way to communicate.

Even without realizing it, people are already using it as a source of information.

Just search whatever you need on the search engine and in the next minute, you will be watching videos of information.

If you are into movies, production houses upload upcoming movie trailers on YouTube for the people to watch.
